This Chianti Classico Gran Selezione DOCG BIO takes its name from the vineyard surrounding the Pieve di San Marcellino in the Chianti hills. Produced from organic farming by the Rocca di Montegrossi estate, whose owner is Marco Ricasoli - Firidolfi, a descendant of a historic Florentine family, located near Gaiole in Chianti. The wine is aged for 24 months in barrique, it is bottled without filtration and then aged in bottle for 24 months. It has a brilliant ruby red color and fruity notes of raspberry and spicy hints. It has an excellent structure and it is definitely tannic. The finish is characterized by a long persistence on the palate.
