The Château Rouget, which extends over 18 hectares, rests its foundations on clay and pebble soil, on which vineyards have been cultivated for more than thirty years and right here since 1994 the Labruyère family has been committed, year after year, to producing a wine which, due to its characteristics, ranks among the greatest of the famous Pomerol denomination. The vineyards stretch on a gentle slope that runs alongside the ancient church of the village and, in a very delicate combination of Cabernet Franc and Merlot, they manage to give life to a wine that amazes for its elegance, softness and completeness of taste.
Intense purple red with garnet reflections, it has an intense and spicy nose that reveals aromas of blackcurrant, blackberry and plum with minty hints in the background. On the sip it is silky and elegant, warm and with a well-present but gentle tannin, very long in the spicy finish of chocolate, licorice and vanilla.
