VARIETY: Supertuscan
PHILOSOPHY: Small Producer
VINE: 100% Sangiovese
This wine, produced since 1983, takes its name from the homonymous farm located within the Cusona Estate and is produced only in the best vintages with the best selections of Sangiovese from the estate's vineyards. Vinified with long maceration in skins, it is aged for 12 months in French oak barriques and aged for more than one year in bottle. On the label is represented the historian Francesco Guicciardini. The color is intense ruby red, with light garnet red reflections. The bouquet has pleasing hints of violet and wild berries, light wood spices. The taste is full bodied, with mellow and enveloping tannins. Fine and elegant aftertaste.
