The Chianti DOCG denomination of origin includes the types Chianti, Chianti superiore and Chianti riserva, with reference also to the subzones: Chianti Colli Aretini, Chianti Colli Fiorentini, Chianti Colli Senesi, Chianti Colline Pisane, Chianti Montalbano, Chianti Montespertoli and Chianti Rufina. Wines are produced with Sangiovese grapes (min.70%). Grapes of Cabernet sauvignon and Cabernet franc together cannot exceed the limit of 15%, whereas possible grapes of white berried grapes (in particular Malvasia bianca lunga) cannot exceed the limit of 10%.
