When it comes to Italian wine and its excellence, Antinori is certainly one of the most important families, which has contributed with its history and passion, passed down through 26 generations, to raising the quality of wines to a higher level. A dynasty that over the decades has become almost an empire, and which has expanded its borders beyond Tuscany, to reach Umbria with the Castello della Sala estate. It rises a few kilometers from Orvieto and extends over approximately 500 hectares of land, from which this "Conte della Vipera" Castello della Sala Antinori comes to life, a blend with an international scope capable of always playing the part of the protagonist.
The "Conte della Vipera" is a white wine resulting from a skilful union between international vines, Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon, which are grown within the vineyards of the Castello della Sala estate, located on soils rich in fossils at a height between 250 and 350 meters above sea level. After harvesting, the bunches are softly pressed, and the must ferments at a controlled temperature in stainless steel tanks, where it then remains to refine until bottling.
The "Conte della Vipera" wine produced by Antinori within the Castello della Sala estate has a pale, pale straw yellow color, with light and sporadic reflections tending towards greenish. The bouquet of aromas that develops on the nose is centered on fruity notes, ranging from citrus fruits to exotic fruit. On the palate it has a frank and direct sip, characterized by a good freshness which contributes to giving it a smooth drink. A bottle that finds its gastronomic vocation with fish-based dishes and recipes, and which also represents an excellent gift to give to all lovers of white wines.
