A majestic vintage where structure, elegance and freshness combine to create something special. 2015 was a hot and little rainy year with high temperatures from May to August, which allowed the vine to reach excellent ripeness, giving perfect grapes for very high-class wines. We started harvesting on September 21st.
The 2015 Brunello was produced from a selection of Sangiovese Grosso from the property's vineyards.
The 2015 Brunello was aged for 3 years in Slavonian oak barrels.
The sunny notes of the fruit in the 2015 Brunello speak of a warm vintage. A sweet and fragrant fruit, not opulent, dominated by cherry aromas, typical of high hill Sangiovese. A fruit that rests delicately on a background of aromatic herbs such as thyme, rosemary and, slightly, liquorice root. In the mouth, the persuasive structure reveals velvety tannins, followed by the usual sensation of freshness that has always distinguished Brunello Biondi-Santi, guaranteeing a highly balanced tasting experience. The very long finish is surprising for its marked flavor - a sign of the gastronomic personality of this Brunello.
