Concentrated ruby red color with light orange highlights. On the nose it firstly expresses hints of dark fruit with blackberries and plums, and then turns towards sensations of damp earth and undergrowth, notes of bark, ash and spiciness of cloves and cinnamon. The taste balance is excellent between the citrus freshness, reminiscent of blood orange, and a well-integrated tannin, with balanced alcohol content and rich persistence of toasted and slightly smoky references.
Ideal with tasty meat second courses, such as a leg of lamb with herbs or with juniper-flavoured suckling pig, as well as with a mixed grill of meat.
