VINE: 65% Sangiovese 30% Merlot 5% Foglia Tonda
Entirely produced from the highest vineyards of the estate in the heart of Chianti Classico, around a Romanesque church of the tenth century, admirably combines the finesse of the freshest Sangiovese with the structure and softness of Merlot. A red wine of great stature, vinified in steel and left to mature in 500 liter French oak barrels for about 10 months. Mazzei's Toscana Rosso IGT "Poggio Badiola" is a wine of undisputed elegance, capable of telling all the class and balance of the best wines of the area.
