The Bolgheri Rosso Superiore from the Guado al Tasso estate of the Marchesi Antinori is a fine and very elegant Super Tuscan, ambassador of the Bolgheri territory. With a bright red colour, the nose is striking for its aromatic intensity, characterized by aromas of red fruit jam, spices, noble woods and liquorice. The sip is enveloping and rich in sweet tannins, very refined and with perfect taste harmony. A Bordeaux blend appreciated all over the world.
Bolgheri Guado al Tasso is one of the most well-known and appreciated Italian expressions in the world, produced mainly from a Bordeaux blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc. The grapes, harvested and destemmed by hand, are selected manually in the cellar, favoring only the ripest bunches. After an initial short period of fermentation in steel barrels, the grapes are left to mature in wood for a further year, at the end of which, the best lots are assembled and placed for another 6 months in small barrels before bottling.
